May Day or “Beltane honours Life. It represents the peak of Spring and the beginning of Summer. Earth energies are at their strongest and most active. Beltane is held on the 1st of May, or about halfway between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice. Historically, it is one of four Gaelic seasonal festivals: Imbolic, Beltane, Lughnasdah, and Samhain.
